I <3 YouTube, Oliver and Company

This morning, I got out of bed, only to start braying a tune from my childhood at the top of my lungs. The unfortunate soul who was stuck listening to my rendition burst out laughing, but gained composure to ask me what song I was singing. Actually, I was asked, "What are you howling?!"

Honestly, all I was able to say was: "Well, it was this animated movie about these dogs...interesting you say howling...and this cat...I don't really know the words...hmm"

*opened up YouTube*

*typed in the only line I remember from the song*

Voila, YouTube's first result was bang on target. Oliver & Company. I sang this maniacally as a kid after I watched the movie. Enjoy the video:

Let the first blogger to die in prison be the last...

The March 18 movement started in honor of blogger Omid Sayafi, who died in Tehran on the same day in 2009. If you'd like to be a part of this movement, I suggest you follow on to this blogpost, giving you details on how to be involved, through videos and a PSA.

Bloggers across the globe are being imprisoned for writing posts that are deemed "blasphemous" or are accused of “spreading false information harmful to the country.” On my sidebar are examples of just two out of the hundreds of bloggers worldwide who are currently serving sentences. Below is a brief of a campaign defending the right to freedom of speech on blogs:Uzma Atcha, The Inner Workings of a Little Teapot, Jan 2010
